Ms. Fryvecind has performed with conductors and directors all over the globe including from Juilliard, Paris National Opera, NYC Opera and the Met. Ms. Fryvecind was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Met’s National Council.  Ms. Fryvecind’s beloved companies include Lyric Opera of Chicago, Aspen Opera Theater Center, Pine Mountain Music Theatre, SF Lyric Opera, Lamplighters and Ray of Light Theatre. Locally Ms. Fryvecind has appeared with Nolte Productions, Coralville City Circle Acting Company, and Iowa City Community Theatre. Opera performances range from Don Giovanni (Zerlina) to Tartuffe (Dorine) and Hansel & Gretel (Gretel) to Gianni Schicchi (Lauretta), The Mikado (Yum-Yum), Daughter of the Regiment (Marie), Carmelites (Constance), Die Entführung (Blöndchen) and Le Nozze de Figaro (Susanna). Some favorite musical theatre productions include A Little Night Music (Anne), A Funny Thing Happened…Forum (Philia), Godspell (Joanne) Into the Woods (Rapunzel), The Secret Garden (Lily) and the hilarious Jerry Springer The Opera (Andrea). Mia occasionally makes guest appearances with choruses like SF Lyric and local bands like the award-winning Zoo Station – U2 Tribute.  

Mia recently directed Nolte Academy's Side Show, James and the Giant Peach, and School of Rock . Mia is thrilled to be working with the talented youth in the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area as a director and vocal coah.  Recently, Mia vocal coached  The Little Mermaid youth production at City Circle Acting Company of Coralville directed by Ian Zahren.
